Where is the Merry Ploughboy Pub located?
The Merry Ploughboy Pub is located on the southside of Dublin city at the foothills of the scenic Dublin Mountains – approximately 8km from the city centre. We are easily accessed by our nightly Shuttle Bus and by taxi. Our post code is D16 HK02. The address is Rockbrook, Edmondstown Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16. View on Google Maps

Do you arrange transport to & from the venue?
Yes - We have our own Shuttle Bus service from the city centre departing Nassau Street at 6.10pm and returns to the city centre after the Show ends at 10pm.

Do I need to book the Shuttle?
Yes, you must book the Shuttle and your chosen pick-up stop. This may be booked online at same time as purchasing a ticket for the Show.

Is there car or coach parking at the pub?
Yes - we have our own free car park opposite the pub.

Can I book a taxi at the pub after the show finishes?
Yes - we will call a return taxi for you. Please let the floor manager know when you arrive.

Do I need to select my seats at the Show?
No – all tables have a good view of the stage and are pre-allocated.

Do you cater for special requests e.g. Birthdays etc?
Yes – please let us know in advance or advise the floor manager on arrival.

What are the terms and conditions for online bookings?

Can I book for Show-only without dinner?
Yes – this option is available to select online. The majority of guests book for dinner & show and the pub is a very popular dining venue.

Are drinks included in the meal?
Tea/coffee is included with your meal and we have full bar facilities at the Show.

How far in advance do I need to book?
This is a very popular Show and it tends to book out in advance during peak season May to September, therefore early booking is advisable.

What time should I arrive?
We are ready to commence serving food at the Show from 6.30pm. The Show starts at 8pm. While food service continues during the Show it is advisable to arrive as early as possible. The pub is open all day if you arrive earlier than 6.30pm.

What time does the show finish?
The show always finishes at 10pm.

What time does the pub close?
The pub closes at normal pub hours – Sunday: 11pm, Monday-Thursday: 11:30pm, Friday & Saturday 12:30am.

Can I stay for drinks after the Show ends?
Yes – plus on Friday & Saturday nights we have free live music in the public bar until closing time. Please note, the Shuttle departs the pub after the end of the Show.

Is the pub wheelchair accessible?
Yes - we have disabled access and lifts.

Are children allowed attend?
Yes - children are welcome with accompanying adults.

Do you cater for food allergies and intolerances?
Yes – please let your server know your requirements.

Are there vegetarian options available?
Yes – these options are always available.

What are the terms and conditions of my booking?

What is your service tips policy?
All tips and gratuities are gratefully received and are distributed fully to staff working at the Show that night. There is no service charge included in your ticket price.

Can I book a private group event
Yes – we can offer private Shows for groups of 45 pax – 190 pax. Please contact us for specific details.

Can I book off- site events?
Yes - The Merry Ploughboys band and dancers are frequently requested to perform at off-site events. Please contact us for full details.

Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes – these can be purchased online via the pub website www.MPBpub.com
